The U.S. Government has requested public comment on the "costs and
benefits" of implementing Bill Clinton's Executive Order 13166, which
requires all federally funded services to be provided in languages other
than English. The Bush Administration is continuing to push this unwise
policy, even though it was never approved by Congress, and even though
the court case on which it was based was overturned by the Supreme Court
earlier this year.
In view of problems with mail delivery in Washington, D.C., comments
will be accepted by fax or e-mail through the close of business on
