Homeland Security is Border Security
No Driver's Licenses for Illegal Aliens
Congress will be returning to Washington on December 6 and 7 to vote on the conference report to S. 2845, which addresses recommendations made by the 9/11 Commission. This bill is supposed to make us safer from another terrorist attack, yet it allows states to continue to issue driver's licenses to illegal aliens, which allows them to board planes, enter federal buildings, and apply for bank accounts.
Facts about the 9/11 Hijackers
- They possessed 63 government issued driver's licenses, which allowed them to board the planes to carry out their attack on America civilians.
- They had over 300 known aliases supported by these driver's licenses.

In November, this bill was put on the fast track with heavy pressure from President Bush and House and Senate Leadership. During a conference committee meeting, House Judiciary Chairman James Sensenbrenner walked out of the negotiations because key immigration reforms were being stripped from the bill. He has stood strong against intense pressure from the White House, party leadership, and the media in order to protect America.
Any intelligence reform must make it harder for would be terrorists to enter our country illegally and function without suspicion or detection. Immigration reforms must be addressed in order to make America safer. We need to let Members of Congress know that homeland security is border security!
