SAY NO TO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS

Tell Your Senator NO on AgJOBS amendment!

Right now the U.S. Senate is debating the Afghanistan/Iraq Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill (H.R. 1268), which provides funding for our troops fighting the War on Terror. The House passed version contained the REAL ID Act, which bolsters our national security by making it harder for terrorists to obtain valid identification and seek asylum in the United States.

Unfortunately, this bill has become a vehicle for wide-ranging immigration amendments. Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) will likely offer an amendment, commonly called AgJOBS, which will grant amnesty to illegal aliens working in the agricultural industry. Illegal aliens (and their families) who have worked in the US for as little as 100 days would be eligible to become permanent legal residents. This amendment is completely at odds with our national security and will spur a wildfire of other immigration amendments including:

Additionally, AgJOBS would ensure that taxpayers continue having to subsidize the workers and their families by providing public benefits of education, emergency health care, and income supplements (including tax refunds) for the workers and their families.

The AgJOBS amendment will lay out the welcome mat for illegal aliens already here and those seeking to enter our country illegally. The Senate must not allow any amnesty or guest worker program!
