Dear ____________________,

I urge you to defeat the Omnibus Patent Bill, S. 507, which I believe is the most dangerous bill in the current Congress. Passage of this bill would cloud America's entire future.

There has to be something fundamentally wrong with this bill when it has aroused the vehement opposition of lifelong antagonists, Milton Friedman (the conservative icon) and Paul Samuelson (the liberal icon). They were among 26 Nobel Laureates who signed a joint letter blasting this bill.

This letter signed by the 26 Nobel Laureates used very strong language in showing the evil of this bill. They called it "very damaging" and said it would "discourage the flow of new inventions" that are so vital to America's superior performance in science and technology and would result in "lasting harm to the United States."

There has to be something fundamentally wrong with this bill when it is opposed by the New York Times (see enclosed editorial) and by Eagle Forum.

Please vote NO on S. 507. This is crucial to America's future.

Faithfully,
