Jessica Echard currently serves as Executive Director of Eagle Forum, a conservative grassroots organization founded by Phyllis Schlafly in 1972. Jessica is a 2003 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, OH, where she majored in English and minored in religion. Since coming to Eagle Forum following graduation, Jessica has served as National Collegians Director and Legislative Assistant before being promoted to Executive Director in January 2005. Jessica oversees all public policy action on the federal level. From tracking legislation and writing alerts, to working with pro-family groups and lobbying Congress, she promotes conservative values on issues such as abortion, marriage, and immigration. She received the 2008 Conservative Political Action Conference Ronald Reagan Award for dedication to the principles of the conservative movement and the 2008 Susan B. Anthony List Young Leader award for pro-life activism. Jessica also received the Distinguished Service Award conferred by Senator Rick Santorum for her participation in the historic 39 hour "Justice for Judges Marathon," supporting President Bush's judicial nominees in the 2003. She has been quoted in many national newspapers including the Washington Post, L.A. Times, Washington Times, Chronicle of Higher Education, Legal Times and the Chicago Tribune, and has appeared on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and National Public Radio. She has been published in Human Events and WorldNetDaily and often speaks to high school and college students about political activism. Jessica is a native of Glenville, WV, where her parents still reside. | ||||||
