Eagle Leader Alyse O'Neill

Eagle Leader Alyse O'Neill is a wonderful example for all of us to follow. Her steadfastness and determination, exemplified as she hosted her 27th annual luncheon for Eagle Forum, should inspire us all. Both the luncheon and fundraising dinner were highly informative, perfectly planned and beautifully executed.

On March 15, Phyllis gave her 27th annual luncheon address to another sellout crowd of Eagles, guests and students at the Naples Beach Club. Her topic this year was "Pursuing the North American Agenda." The speech will soon be available on DVD. On Saturday, March 17, Phyllis spoke in tribute to our veterans at the annual flag raising in the Naples town square, and then rode in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in her green dress in a green convertible driven by Mark Andrews. The parade has grown so much that it now attracts 25,000 spectators. On Saturday night, Phyllis spoke at a successful Eagle Forum fundraising dinner at the historic Palm Cottage, the oldest home in Naples.

Virginia Evers, Creator of "The Precious Feet"

Eagle Leader Virginia Evers of Arizona, creator of “The Precious Feet,” was featured in the January edition of American Family Association Journal. A great-grandmother of 14, and grandmother of 28, Virginia helped open America’s eyes to the value of life in the womb by creating a lapel pin the exact size of a 10 week-old unborn baby’s feet. The pin, created in 1978, is now the symbol of the pro-life movement. “You know that the truth about the unborn babies is the best-kept secret in the media,” says Virginia. “They won’t show pictures of abortion. They won’t show pictures of babies in their mom’s wombs…because that proves…that it’s a baby and not a blob.”

HPV vaccine being pushed for teen girls isn't all you may think it is

Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry set off a nationwide firestorm by issuing an executive order mandating that by the fall of 2008, all sixth-grade girls in his state be given the new Merck Gardasil vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV), which was developed to prevent some cervical cancers. Although there is a rather involved opt-out provision, parents and legislators were furious at the government interfering with the private health-care decisions of families for their minor children. by Bobbie Patray, Tennessean.com, 3-17-07

Arizona Senator Johnson on Lou Dobbs

Watch Arizona Eagle Senator Karen Johnson questions whether the United States could merge and harmonize its laws with the oligarchic Mexico and socialistic Canada on Lou Dobbs.

The segment also highlights that at least 12 states that are working to pass resolutions asking Congress to withdraw the United States from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and from any other bilateral or multilateral activity that seeks the economic merger of the United States with any other country.

Texas bill makes STD vaccine voluntary for school girls

Cathie Adams, president of Texas Eagle Forum, applauded the house vote because medical personnel have clearly stated the vaccine should not be mandated.

“It’s too new. It was only approved last June after a four-year study,” Adams says. “It just hasn’t had enough time to prove that it is going be even a preventive for cancer, and certainly, Merck, the manufacturer of the vaccine, does not make that claim either.” spcm.org, March 16, 2007

Full-day kindergarten clears first capital test

"The reality is that full-day kindergarten serves two purposes," said Lynn Chapman, of the conservative Freedom for Families and the Nevada Eagle Forum. "First, it provides a tax-funded entitlement in the form of child care and secondly, it strengthens the already powerful state teachers union.", Reno Gazette Journal, 3-13-07.

North American Union State Resolution

Missouri Eagle Leader Lois Linton testified last Wednesday before a House committee on HCR 33, the companion bill to SCR 15, a resolution asking Congress to withdraw from the Security and Prosperity Partnership. Through hard work and perseverance, Lois has guided SCR 15 through a Senate committee: it passed 5-1. The House version will also likely pass through committee. However, there isn’t must time left this session for the bills to get on either the House or the Senate calendars.

She acknowledges that her success is a result of all the training she has received through attending Eagle Councils. “Keep it short and to the point. The legislators’ time is too precious to waste on long histories or complex detail. If the legislators have a question, they will ask it,” said Lois.

Freedom to Dictatorship in 5 years

From her own experience, Mrs. Kitty Werthmann will help you see we are walking the same path as the Nazi’s. She was 12 years old living in Austria. At that time, there was order, prayer and pictures of Jesus. Hitler took over and all that was removed! Unemployment rose to 35%, bank loans rose to 25%, unions called strikes, all this with 98% of the people claiming to be Catholic!
