Mississippi Eagle Eddie Myrtle Moore

Mississippi Eagle Eddie Myrtle Moore is Eagle of the Week for helping to pass several resolutions at Mississippi State Daughters of the American Revolution Conference in February 2007. One resolution advises state leaders to be aware that International Baccalaureate Programs are filled with global indoctrination, political correctness, the feminist agenda, and environmental extremisms. Another resolution highlights how the Trans-Texas Corridor will compromise our borders and our national security.

Tennessee Eagle Bobbie Patray on the ERA

Tennessee Eagle Forum President Bobbie Patray published an excellent article in The Tennessean on April 14 refuting the arguments for ERA. Among reasons given by The Tennessean’s editorial to support ERA were that Thomas Jefferson wrote that “all men are created equal” (but that’s not in the Constitution), and that women basketball players were called a bad name by Don Imus.

Bobbie was also mentioned by The Chattanoogan the following day.

Alaskan Eagle Leader Debbie Joslin

Eagle Leader Debbie Joslin deserves a standing ovation for her tireless effort to pass an Alaskan advisory banning health benefits for the same-sex partners of public employees. She started a group called Vote Yes for Marriage, Alaska!, which raised $35,000 compared to the $84,000 raised by the opposition. Despite the difference in funding, Debbie’s group helped lead the way to victory. The advisory passed with 53% of the vote. Some areas, where the advisory was the only ballot issue, voted for the advisory 3 to 1.

Orlean Koehle Working Hard in California

Eagle Leader Orlean Koehle is Eagle of the week for her successful 6th Annual Education Conference in Santa Rosa, the northern part of California. Despite the distances, Eagles came from all over, including faraway southern California, because they knew they could rely on the fantastic content of the speeches. We commend Orlean for her keen skills as a watchman warning for the nation with the message: “Danger! Sell Out Ahead!”

Oklahoma Eagle Leader Bunny Chambers

Eagle Leader Bunny Chambers teamed with Vets For Victory founder and chairman, LTC Steve Russell (Ret.) to help organize a “Stand Up For Victory” rally on the steps of the Oklahoma State Capitol, Feb. 17, 2007. On a cold, windy Saturday morning, 1000 patriots gathered to show their support for our troops and our veterans. The rally coincided with a unanimous Resolution passed by the Oklahoma legislature that proclaimed the State of Oklahoma’s position that it “will not abandon the troops in the field in time of war and will support their efforts to secure victory.” LTC Russell’s unit was a central player in the hunt and capture of Saddam Hussein. Vets For Victory is planning more state rallies. Check their website: www.vetsforvictory.com . Oklahoma Eagle Forum handed out American flags to those in attendance.
