Alabama Eagle leader Eunie Smith put together a spectacular leadership conference
Alabama Eagle Forum President Eunie Smith hosted the 26th Annual Leadership Conference of Eagle Forum of Alabama Education Fund on July 13-14 in Birmingham. It was the most successful conference ever, attracting over 400 participants including about 25 congressional, state, county, local, and school board officials. Eagle President Phyllis Schlafly addressed the banquet on the topic "How a North American Union Would Devastate America. "Other speakers included Dr. Don Wildmon (CEO of the one-million-member American Family Association), James Spannÿwho spoke on "Correcting Global Warming Propaganda," Phllip Jauregui on "Legislating Morality and Why the Law of Gravity Is Non-Negotiable," Dr. Elizabeth Kantor on "The Politically Incorrect Guide to English and American Literature," Cathy Barneson "Facts on Fiction" (parent guidance for recommended reading lists), Deborah Garrett on "Conservapedia" (a conservative online encyclopedia), and John Stonestreet on "Recovering a Biblical Worldview: the Crucial Ingredient for Real Cultural Impact." Saturday morning featured a panel on "Stopping Illegal Immigration" with Rosemary Jenks, Georgia Senator Nancy Schaefer, and Alabama Rep. Mickey Hammon.
