Nevada Eagle Leader Janine Hansen

Nevada Eagle Leader Janine Hansen finished off another successful session lobbying the Nevada Legislature. The Nevada Eagle Forum helped pass a law that prohibits trafficking people for illegal purposes and that penalizes businesses that hire “unauthorized aliens”; a law that prohibits the state government from confiscating firearms during emergency situations; a law of reciprocity for concealed carry weapons permits; and a resolution urging Congress not to reauthorize the “fast track” approval of international trade agreements. Nevada Eagle Forum helped to defeat a bill authorizing a statewide lottery and a bill that would make failing to wear a safety belt a primary offense.

Nevada Eagle Leader Janine Hansen

Nevada Eagle Leader Janine Hansen’s most recent effort is working to introduce a bill opposing the North American Union. However, this session alone, Janine and her Eagle Forum team have not only tracked over 300 bills, but also sent out alerts and testified on many of those bills. One of the many victories this session was defeating AB442, which would have expanded the existing state employment discrimation clause to include “sexual orientation.”
