During the November 24 program, Phyllis talked with Dr. Michael Coffman about why he believes that global warming is a myth. The Executive Director of Sovereignty International who received his Ph.D. in Forest Science at the University of Idaho recently introduced a video about this important topic called “Global Warming or Global Governance?”.
Dr. Coffman explained that much of the research behind global warming is “a heavy misuse of science that disturbs me as a scientist,” and in fact, he says he originally tried to find evidence to support the theory, but found none. If you follow the money trail, those who fund this research are more concerned about having a global government than about the economy, and this “select few [are] pushing this agenda.”
Other countries would greatly benefit from these measures. For example, they hope that through the Law of the Sea Treaty, that they can take American resources such as oil in Anwar to benefit financially. Even if the Kyoto protocol were able to be enforced, it would only decrease the world's temperature by .017 degrees Celsius over the next 100 years.
Despite this small benefit, Kyoto “would destroy the entire U.S. economy” because our government would have to transfer a lot of its money to other countries to purchase emissions credits. China recently passed the U.S in emissions, yet China is exempt from this requirement.
