We publicly supported the lawsuit filed by Michigan Secretary of State Candice Miller against the federal law that requires states to collect Social Security numbers from applicants for driver's licenses. http://www.pub.umich.edu/daily/2001/jan/01-05-2001/news/15.html
Unfortunately, that lawsuit was dismissed by Federal Judge Robert Holmes Bell on October 2, 2001.
