Eagle Forum Launches Radio Ads to Defeat ObamaCare — 11-17-09
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has unveiled his government-run health care bill. As always, we will provide you with the latest legislative details so you can take action and contact your Senators. I'd like to draw your attention to our two new radio ads that are currently running in Nebraska and Arkansas:
Perhaps the greatest liberty you and I have as Americans is the ability to influence our elected officials. It's what stopped socialized medicine in the 1950s and it's what stopped it under President Clinton. Now, the government-run health care advocates are back, but so are we. I am determined to do whatever it takes to stop this threat to our individual freedoms and our American way of life, and this is why Eagle Forum has stepped forward with radio ads in these two key states.
Under Senate rules, 60 votes are needed on a "cloture" motion to move a bill forward. Right now, Democrats have 60 votes and Republicans have 40 votes. Democrat Senators Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) are key votes to defeating the cloture motion to proceed to consideration of the health care bill. Both are running for reelection in 2010 and both Senators need to know that a "Yes" vote on the cloture motion to proceed will mean the end of their political careers.
Click here to donate to Eagle Forum to help keep our radio ads
on the air so we can keep up the pressure on these key Senators
until they cast their votes!
Be sure to listen for our ads on the radio! They are running everywhere in these two states-on 26 stations in Nebraska and on 22 stations in Arkansas.
